With Touratech fairing crash bars, costly damage to the fairing becomes a thing of the past.
This additional crash bar protects the upper fairing section, as well as the vulnerable radiator and even the fuel tank, from major damage.
A new connection technology linking the upper and lower crash bars effectively dissipates excessive forces, thereby protecting the motorcycle from damage. In the event of a fall, impact forces are diverted and distributed in the most effective way possible, safeguarding the fairing and—ultimately—the fuel tank itself.
The plastic components of the BMW R1300GS do not come into contact with the ground; with the Touratech crash bar, even scratches on the fairing parts are prevented.
This component is made entirely of robust, electropolished stainless steel and is rust-resistant. Even deep scratches will not compromise the integrity of the frame.
Despite the substantial 25x2 mm stainless steel tubing, the bar is mounted symmetrically and as close as possible to the motorcycle's centerline. It has no impact on lean angles or ground clearance. The Touratech upper crash bar blends harmoniously with the overall look of the 1300, becoming a seamless visual part of the motorcycle.
