Tech-Air® 5In the event of an accident or other activating event, the Tech-Air® 5 airbag vest provides complete upper body protection, covering the rider's shoulders, chest, ribs and entire back, regardless of the type of motorcycle used. The system is designed to work both on the road and in light off-road conditions.
Tech-Air® 5 consists of a separate vest designed to protect against impacts occurring in accidents. However, the system does not provide protection against possible abrasions when sliding (e.g. on asphalt, gravel, grass, etc.). Therefore, this airbag system must always be used in combination with compatible outer protective clothing from Tech-Air® or 4SR Airbag Ready®.
The system consists of an integrated electronic airbag control unit with sensors built into the back protector. The sensor system consists of 3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes. These six sensors monitor shocks and unexpected movements of the rider. If the user's body is exposed to high or sudden changes in energy, the system activates and inflates the protective cushion. This can happen when the motorcycle collides with another vehicle or object, when the rider loses control of the machine, or when they fall off the motorcycle.
The Tech-Air® Race system is a stand-alone device, so there is no need to pair it or attach it to the motorcycle with a cable. This makes it easier for the rider to handle and gives them freedom of movement. The system is equipped with a wireless Bluetooth interface that allows direct connection to a mobile phone using the Tech-Air® App. The app provides important information about the airbag system and gives the user access to many other functions.
The Tech-Air® 5 system includes two different algorithms that allow the system to be used on both normal roads and light off-road trails (Street Mode) and race tracks (Race Mode). The user can easily switch between these two modes using the Tech-Air® App.
Use the attached table to select the correct size of the TECH-AIR® 5 airbag system. The protective vest can be used with any compatible Tech-Ai® or 4SR Airbag Ready clothing.

Tech-Air is certified according to CE Category II standard 686/89/EEC, EN1621-4: 2013 – impact protection. The Airbag Control Unit (ACU) has ECE R10 04 homologation, which ensures the electromagnetic stability and integrity of the unit. The design and manufacture of Tech-Air are certified according to pyrotechnic standard CE2007/23/EC, which confirms that the airbag has been designed in accordance with all pyrotechnic and safety guidelines and can be transported by car, boat, train and plane. The argon cartridges are certified according to the ISO 14451 standard, which guarantees that they will only function when connected to the electronic unit. This standard also confirms that the cartridges can be safely handled, installed and transported.
