Traverse clothing has been available from Klim for several years and has been included in the category of bad weather suits in the off-road section. Its users are very satisfied with it, and in certain groups of motorcyclists it is almost "mandatory equipment".
For the 2020 season, KLIM decided to radically innovate this model and turned the cover designed for use over a protective vest into a separately usable set that in many ways competes with the Carlsbad model. But Traverse is designed for a different group of users...
The basic function of Traverse clothing is to protect the rider from inclement weather throughout the year. Most users of this model ride (or are expected to ride) not only in summer but also in winter. Typical uses include multi-day trips to the mountains on sharp or large enduro bikes, where there is no shortage of heavy rain or even snow. And the clothing is not exactly treated with kid gloves. Constant rubbing against bushes, rocks, trees - a completely normal thing. Clothing must be made of materials that are designed for such use and will last for several years. And they never disappoint! However, emphasis is now also placed on increased comfort and reduced volume of packed jackets or trousers. Traverse can withstand much rougher treatment than regular waterproofs (including our Goretex waterproofs), which are laminated with polyester on the outside. Traverse is made of laminate with a Gore-Tex Performance Shell membrane and Cordura on the outside. At the same time, it is much less bulky than traditional "FULLSIZE" adventure laminate clothing, which it actually complements nicely - if the owner decides to go to Albania or Ukraine for a few days of off-roading, for example.
