The X1 Alpha Helmet is the pinnacle of adventure helmet technology. Krios helmets have been on the market for several years and have been extremely successful - they are the lightest enduro helmets with visors approved for European and American road use (ECE / DOT) on the market. Klim collaborates with several suppliers in the development and production process, uses the best available materials (the most expensive type of folded carbon composite, the best padding and accessories) and utilises the most comfortable shell design on the market. KLIM is a company that always uses the best available materials in all its products and is now entering the European market with the KRIOS PRO version, which has an inner lining made of KOROYD® instead of polystyrene. This required a complete redesign of the shell. This puts KRIOS PRO at the absolute forefront in terms of strength and functionality, as all the compromises associated with the use of traditional materials are now a thing of the past. The outer material of the shell is again carbon composite (100% carbon) and the inner lining, which absorbs impact energy, is made of KOROYD material.

SAFETYS and SAFETY again
The goal of developing Krios Pre was to break conventional safety limits and bring a modern helmet for adventure travel to the market. Krios Pre is the first enduro helmet with a visor (adventure helmet) to be launched on the American market with a Koroyd construction. Thanks to Koroyd, it is also currently the safest helmet in this category on the market.

WHAT IS KOROYD?
Koroyd® is a patented material or technology for absorbing energy upon impact, which uses a special 3D structure to reduce the risk of injury through controlled energy absorption. The structure (which resembles honeycomb but with a round shape) deforms homogeneously upon impact and smoothly absorbs the energy of the impact, thereby reducing the risk of head injury. KOROYD material has fantastic impact energy absorption parameters compared to all available materials - it distributes energy over a larger area with less risk of injury. Furthermore, after a fall with a conventional helmet, no internal deformation of the polystyrene structure is visible on the lining, so the helmet may appear undamaged at first glance, but in the event of another fall and impact in the same area, the damaged lining will not absorb the impact energy and serious head injury may occur. In the case of a helmet with Koroyd lining, it is immediately apparent that part of the lining has been damaged after a specific fall and the helmet no longer fulfils its protective function, even if the outer shell is only scratched.

PERFECT VISIBILITY IN ALL CONDITIONS - TRANSITIONS®
Self-tinting visors manufactured under licence from Transitions® are the best available on the market today. They are 100% clear when tinted, and the darkening effect caused by UV radiation is instantaneous and intense. The entire optics of the relatively large visor are designed so that they do not distort the view in any direction (cheap helmets very often cause distortion when looking outside the direct line of sight). Transitions® lenses automatically adapt to the light conditions of the environment - they are not just clear/dark, but depending on the ambient lighting, they can have many subtle shades of grey between the boundary levels.

PERFECT aeroacoustics
One of the important goals in developing the new helmet was to achieve the best possible aerodynamics and acoustic performance. Perfect aerodynamics (stable at all angles) minimises acoustic noise. Properly designed ventilation openings (or their covers) also contribute to noise reduction. Perfect interior padding made of sound-absorbing material further reduces noise levels. All this contributes to riding comfort, less fatigue and greater well-being during long-distance travel.

Tested and TESTED again!
Klim has spent several years developing and testing the components, technologies and materials for the new helmet. Its development began in the field of motorsport, and when the decision was made to also develop a helmet for adventure riders, the tests began anew. Dozens of test riders tested and fine-tuned every single component, every cover, every proposed shape of the visor, spoiler, ventilation covers, etc. And they tested them on real adventure trips - not just in laboratory conditions and in a wind tunnel. Klim wanted to be sure that the visor would not increase noise and that the helmet would be as comfortable as possible on different types of motorcycles in different riding conditions. Some manufacturers tune their helmets only for direct wind pressure while riding (they do not test the effects of different heights and shapes of visors). They only test the angle of the seat. Klim tested in real conditions - dozens of visors from different manufacturers, rider and seat heights, and different adventure motorcycles. The result is aerodynamic and acoustic excellence - even at high speeds, fantastic comfort padding and premium workmanship in every detail. And, most importantly, the highest possible safety.
